I bought the all new 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage DE model which has the CVT tranny and three cylinder which is giving me right at 50 MPG on the HWY and 39 MPG in the city, I bought it to save gas to and from work which is a 100 miles round trip.

When I was looking at it I thought I could make it look a little better so took my ideas and started working on it off and on after the paint correction.

This is how it looked before I left the dealership.

Yesterday I bought a small roll of wrap and cut out what I wanted and applied it.

Here's how it looks as of now....

The wheel covers and side graphics I did a few days after I bought it.

Once I'm done with the rear I'll add another coat of Collinite. :dblthumb2:

Yeah it's not for everyone, all that counts is that you like it. :dblthumb2:

Thanks

Thanks Evan , it took hours to figure out how I wanted it, the job itself was quick.

More to come:dblthumb2:

Wow, you did a great job. I tried putting a similar wrap on my car before driving it across to the east coast of Florida but couldn't get it so snug and fit as you have done it--so took it off and put a 3M paint tape on the hood.

Thanks everyone, I love it.

I made sure I prepped it good so it would bond, I polished using Meguiar's 205 before I laid it down then used only a little heat using a hair dryer.
I'm new to wrapping but one thing I learned quick was not to use too much heat.

Cutting out the pieces was the hardest part, has to be perfect ,after that it went by rather quick :)

not a big fan of any decals on the paint, but you did a good job applying it...

Good thing about a wrap is you can remove it very easy.
I never did anything like this but to make the little car look better I thought of this. :dblthumb2:

If I every have to do a full paint correction I'll remove it and then redo it. Lol

Thanks for the nice words :)

Nice. The car looks more sporty with the decals.

Did you put on a coat of Collinite before the decals were applied?

Keeping the decals nice looking over the long haul will be a challenge. Something to consider. Those are kind of interesting cars. They have big fat warranties, compared to the competition.

I normally don't like mods like this, but in this situation, it looks great! Bold move, payed off. Definitely makes the car look worlds cooler.:dblthumb2:
