I had the pleasure of detailing this brand new Viper GTS in Stryker Green. This color is a very limited run and only having 33 that will receive the paint.

Upon initial view of this car I found there to be micro marring and holograms all through the paint. I informed the customer of my findings and showed him everything I was seeing.

We made arrangements with the local dealership to have this car sitting on the show room floor while I did the work. I gave this car a foam bath and did my baggie test and sure enough there was able surface contamination. Now, let me say that this car came right from the factory on an inclosed trailer and yet there was still above surface contamination so keep that in mind when you do a new car or have a customer with a new car.

The car was then clayed with the Speedy Prep Towel Fine Grade. After the car was clayed and dried I taped off everything and went to work on the car. I found what worked best was the Rupes Yellow Polishing pad and HD Polish at speed 4. This finished down perfectly and was LSP ready.

After I had done all the polishing Xpel Ultimate was placed over 90% of the car by Adam from Prestige Auto Armor.

The car was then coated with Opti-coat for the maximum protection

Great work. Can't believe they made you wear a matching shirt, lol.

And shoes!

Great work on a beautiful car! How was it detailing in front of dealers and customers? Get bombarded with questions? I think it would be pretty fun to detail on display but I wouldn't want to do it a lot! Hahaa :xyxthumbs:

I saw this stunning Stryker Green Viper in person while getting a key fob replaced. It was already polished up, and being wrapped in the self-healing clear film (I had to look up exactly what this Xpel stuff was). The owner really went the distance for ultimate scratch and chip protection by topping the film with Opti-Coat. Excellent work, Evan!

Very cool. I'm just curious why it was set up for you to detail it in the showroom.

Well thanks! Working on the showroom floor was fun but at the same time you have people watching you not that it changes what I do. If anyone had question I would answer them as best that I could without taking time away from doing what I was there to do. I have learned that when in an area where people have the chance to talk with you its a great idea to headphones on.

Well Thank You! Too bad I wasn't around to shoot the breeze with you unless I was working on the other Viper!:buffing:

Thanks! The owner, Adam, and I wanted the cleanest area possible to do the work and in the dealership the showroom was just the area.

Thanks!. I love the car as well since I'm a sucker for green

That's such a nice job, love the matching shirt! How did you get the dealership to let you do the work in the middle of the showroom?
