So I tried sonax pns last week. Weird to apply but decent overall. Love the water behavior and self cleaning. Pretty impressive. The look is so so to me.

My car sits out a bit and gets driven a lot. The pns is nice but I think a coating will give me similar water behavior as well as more protection.

My question is....cq uk or another? I like the cq system and complementary products so that's a plus. I'm open to options. I value ease of us as do many. Thanks in advance.

IMHO OptiCoat is the king of coatings. You apply it once, you apply it right - and it should last until you polish it off. You don't need special soaps or "coating refreshers" with it. You can pretty much use any paint safe chemical on it without worry.

I can attest to how tough OC is, as I use it on wheels. The wheels see the harshest dirt and the harshest cleaners. Yet, the OC stays - even with Wheel Bright.

If your looking for the toughest coating requiring the least maintenance - I'd go with OC.

Can't comment on OC, but just put Cquk on my truck and its great.
It's self cleaning ability is pretty in incredible and my truck is black.
By 2 years, I will want to polish it anyway and try something else.
