Help!! Never tackled boat like this! what to use on a fishing boat with extreme oxidation? Friend inherited boat wants to pay me to clean it up to sell. I'm very in my humble opinion capable with my Flex 3401 on MY street rod and wake setter. I own a rotary adjustable speed buffer but haven't had cause to tackle it as of yet. That being said can my 3401 help me with a job like this? If so where do I start!

Time to break out the rotary polisher, if it's extremely oxidize. With a good marine heavy-duty compound like; Megs-M91 power cut compound, 3m marine compound finish material or 3m super duty, Marine 31 heavy Cut oxidation cleaner. Use a twisted wool compounding pad (no foam). The the Flex DA polisher is just not strong enough to cut through the heavy oxidation. If its extremely bad you might want to wet-sand first. Once the shine is restored you can break out the 3401 to remove compound swirls/light scratches. Most car/paint products should work fine at this point. Finish with a high-quality wax, such as Collinite paste wax. If you have anymore specific questions, I'll try to answer the best I can
