View Full Version : What's more aggressive, PB SSR2.5 or Swirl X?

Mid detail right now on my Grand Cherokee, I can't seem to get as many of the swirls out as I wanted, using the PB SSR2.5 with an LC orange waffle pad. Would switching to Swirl X, a cyan pad or maybe even UC work better?

Thanks!

According to the polish chart by Todd Helme over on Autopia Forums, which has a 0-10 with 10 being the most aggressive, Swirl-X is a 4 and SSR2.5 is a 6. Ultimate Compound is an 8.

So yes, switching to UC or a cyan pad or both would work better, just try the least aggressive method first and make sure the swirls you are trying to remove aren't too deep to remove without taking off too much paint and compromising the clear coat.

Thanks...just tried the PB SSR 2.5 with the cyan pad and then finishing with Meg's UP on a LC black pad and that seems to do the trick.
