Hello everyone!

I did a full paint correction on my 2001 e39 540i six speed. It was much needed and I took a few pictures along the way. Probably should have taken more before photos though. I'm starting my own detailing business this summer as a way to bring in some cash before going to college next year. I figured its a bit hypocritical to run a detailing business while having a swirled out car so this detailing was a must (an enjoyable one that is). But enough with the small talk, lets get to business.

Here is the procedure I used:
1. Wash Megs gold car wash with some CG APC. I knew there was no wax on it since it is my DD, but figured the APC wouldn't hurt.
2. After rinse, Pinnacle XMT clay with leftover suds as lubrication.
3. Another rinse, I don't feel its necessary to wash again after claying.
4. Dry with the Absorber chamois and pressurized air for door jambs, trim and such.
5. Using megs UC, 6 passes on a GG6 w/ 5.5" LC flat orange cutting pads. Speed 6
6. Griots AIO as a finisher polish as well as synthetic sealant used with 5.5" LC flat white pad on speed 5. I've grown a liking to this aio as it had a decent amount of cut for one, but also finished out nicely.
7. Mothers Carnauba applied on a Blue LC finishing pad. Yeah this wax is cheap and all, but whoever said you needed an expensive wax to get some depth? I've grown a liking to its output and its price. Yes, I know it probably doesn't compare to Souveran and such though, but I think it still gets the job done!

But here's the pictures now!

Pretty moderate to heavy swirling at parts, as well as some oxidation.

Here is the beginning of the AFTER shots. I have two parts to them as the first is the day after I finished which was pretty overcast and not good for photos at all. The second is what I will call probably the best spring day for taken photos I've seen in a while.

OVERCAST AFTER:

Wheels cleaned with Chemical Guys Diablo wheel cleaning gel. Diluted 5:1 (sounds like a bit much, but still gets the job done and clings to the surface). Also smells pretty good, kinda like bubble gum. A variety of brushes were used to clean the wheel. Griots long lasting tire dressing was used to dress it. Not my favorite on my tire, but makes for a great trim dressing that last a long time! Should've dressed the fender wells, but forgot about them. Might do it in the future though.

SPRING AFTER's (Shot at different apertures due to lighting on different views, very little editing afterwards besides a little bit of saturation and license plate blurs):

Thanks you! Even I was surprised at how much depth I was able to achieve with silver paint. I was just going for shine in the beginning
