Just picked up a new car this weekend. didn't see any swirls so far....

question, if I don't see any swirls after the first wash, would it be too much to do the following:

106ffvia PC and Blue LC Pad
WDGPS/by hand

Or is the WDGPS enough for now until fall?

also, it's an SUV, what can I use to wash the roof aside from Boar's Hair brush w/pole.

I don`t think you will need 106ff. Do you have a less abrassiv polish? Like menzerna finishing polish etc? I would go with a finishing polish, then sealent.

I have 85RD, but wanted to try out my new 106ff, hence the blue pad....

Just go with the 106ff on a blue pad!

I do the roof of my SUV with a Schmitt and stand on a ladder.

thanks, pirex, was thinking that using 106 on a blue pad shouldn't be that harsh.

thanks, Gnarboots11, that was the original plan (ShMitt and a ladder)...

If it were me, I'd just wash, clay, wash then WDGPS.

If you have small children, I'd hook them up to a harness, attach Ulti-Mits and/or Schmits to their hands, knees and feet, hoist them up via some sort of pulley system and then let them go to town on the top of the SUV.

:p

I would never put sealent on a car, without polish it before. Just if it is all new, and not driven. Thats like painting your car right on the originale paint. Not sand it down first. Bonds great then? NO
