Good evening gentlemen, I was wondering how you deal with car's that have touch up paint on it. My mom has a black Lincoln mkx and it needs a good swirl removal and polish, but it has a few places with touch up paint. Do I need to be carefully of the spots.

It depends if the touch up paint areas are flush with the surrounding paint, and has clear coat on them(done to a professional standard) then I would polish the vehicle out normally just take it easy around those areas though If they are bad unprofessional touch ups then I wouldn't polish till I fix those touch up spots cause once polished they will stick out like a sore thumb

When touch-up paint is allowed to cure before being sanded it is a strong bond. To polish or not to polish that area is a consideration but more often than not I wouldn't be deterred.
