Well now that I am working, my brother decided to use the PC 7424 a few weeks ago in which he thought he did a good job. I decided to clean his car with a rinse-less since I felt lazy today (too much jet lag). When I was cleaning his car I notice that some spots had the same type of scratches and to be honest I still ask myself how he did these. He mention about the pad sometimes been black but when he washed them they came right off. Feed back please

If your talking about the scratches it looks like the edge of the backing plate was running on the paint lol

I felt like smacking him but I had to give the poor guy credit for trying on his first car

LOL and I thought DA's were basically 100% fool proof. Doesn't Junkman have a video where he lets his 5 year old grand daughter use one to demonstrate this point? I'd buy your brother a beer (if he's old enough) if I lived close. This has to be a 1st.

Hahaha he is 19 and drinks once in a while behind our backs. I am thinking of getting a 7" backing plate and some Self centering LC pads

When I got my PC starter kit from AG it came with over sized pads. I'm guessing to prevent this from happening as I'm sure if can happen to any first timer. Live and learn, glad he was able to have the courage to do it, I did my first this year and I'm 28 for great of messing something up.

Looks like he put the Velcro side on the paint.

How are you certain these are from his first go with a DA? Perhaps he tried it to fix these scratches...just a thought

The lines are very consistent in a straight line. So it makes me wonder...
