Bought the upgraded 8070 end of Feb.2013, used it on 5 jobs last year and it performed really well. Stored it in my living room over the Winter to be sure of no internal freezing issues. Just lined up two extractor jobs and decided to pre-test it to be sure there were no issues, good thing I did, the pump is spitting water everywhere. Though my Mytee manual says 2 yr. warranty on the pump, Mytee emailed twice today to explain the manual is an older one and they only cover Major parts for one year. That Aztec 3 yr. warranty is starting to look pretty good now, If I have a good year then maybe I'll go Aztec, I can learn to live with a little less lift and not worrying if I'm hooked to a 20 amp ckt.

Unfortunate to hear. How much will you be paying to replace the pump?

Is it a bad hose or connection, I had a clog problem because it sat.

The part is $160.00, of course that manual is old according to Mytee so I may be shy, the labor I'm guessing will be about $100.00, the shop needs to look at it first. It would be cheaper than $800.00 for an Aztec at this point, I just have to cool off a little. I stand behind my work and I'm feeling like Mytee isn't . Shortening their warranty to 1 year when their competitor still stands at 3 yrs. is saying something.

There was no blockage as far as I can seen just water spewing from the pump as soon as you switch it on. I just ran straight water in the solution tank last season. The vendor I bought it through says they will speak to their Mytee rep for me, if I had a shop and put some miles on it I would feel I got my moneys worth, but 5 jobs should just be breaking it in.

If the manual that came with your vacuum says two years, then they legally HAVE to abide by that warranty, under the Magnusson Moss Warranty Act. A manufacturer can't arbitrarily shorten your warranty after the purchase has been made.

Great information!! :props:

I've been looking at a hot water extractor and the The Mytee Lite II 8070 was on that list. I've been hearing a lot about Mytee lately and unfortunately not good.

I just bought a small steamer and I'll see how that works along with my small Bissell Auto Care Pro-Heat...

My eyes and ears are open....:props:

Fight them over it. I had to do this many times over several different issues when I had a Mytee. Talk to the manager, talk to the owners if you have to.

Another notch against Mytee. Never again.

Wow i have heard of LOTS of bad things about Mytee customer service, but after this one. I WILL NOT SPEND a time on ANY of their product.

I actually was going to pick up a my tee extractor on craiglist the other week, it was from a "Professional detailer" i knew something is not right when a detailer is getting rid of it. I bet he know it is about to break or something thats why he was getting rid of it to salvage the money for another unit.

Cf? Details please. Am looking to eventually add an extractor to my steamers. My Mytee just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have had my Mytee Lite II since atleast 2007 and have not had anything wrong with it. Knock on wood.. lol. But hearing about how they handle that warranty deal might not want to deal with that when ever I need another. Keep us updated on what they say

Well actually the only complaint I do have is I wish it would have a wider spray pattern.

Welp looks like I won't be picking up the HP60. I was about to pull the trigger until reading the responses...

Well, the Lite is a different machine than the HP60 or HP100. In one of these threads someone mentioned that they talked to a repair shop that works on these and they said the HP machines are a bit tougher. (if I'm remembering correctly) That Sensei looks like a nice machine but it's twice the price of a Mytee Lite.

It's funny how some people seem to have Mytee Lites and have no problems, and some have endless problems. Makes you wonder if the machines are that inconsistent or if it's water quality issues, usage differences, etc.
