Hi Everyone!

I have a black 2015 Subaru STI sitting on the dealer lot waiting for me to pick up this evening. I was wondering if I could have some input on my detailing "stack" for my initial paint prep:

1. Shampoo - Chem Guys Mr.Pink (Chemical Guys CWS_402_16 - Mr. Pink Super Suds Shampoo & Superior Surface Cleanser (16 oz) (http://goo.gl/aax3gE))
2. Clay Bar - Chem Guys Medium + Synthetic Lubricant (Chemical Guys CLY_402 - Clay Bar, Gray (Medium) (100 g) (http://goo.gl/R8cisu))
3. Glaze - Chem Guys Black Light Hybrid (Chemical Guys GAP_619 - Black Light Hybrid Radiant Finish (1 Gal) (http://goo.gl/H2YHlV))
4. Sealant - Jet Seal (Chemical Guys WAC_118_16 - JetSeal Sealant and Paint Protectant (16 oz) (http://goo.gl/MWauFw) )
4. Pure Carnauba Wax - Chem Guys 5050 (Chemical Guys WAC_302 - 5050 Limited Series Concours Paste Wax V2 Chrome & 2 Applicators (http://goo.gl/4lrrG1))
5. Quick Detailer/Sealant - Chem Guys Hybrid V7 (Chemical Guys WAC_808_16 - Hybrid V7 Optical Select High Gloss Spray Sealant & Quick Detailer (16 oz) (http://goo.gl/Y0agcJ))

I received Jet Seal as a free gift from Chem Guys when I placed the order. Can I apply it right after using Black Light Hybrid and before the Carnauba Wax? Do I have my products in the correct order?

Thanks in advanced!

Your order is correct, is this a car you are buying? If so congrats they are sweet rides.

Yes sir! :) This will be my first new car and I couldn't have made a better choice.

The wait is killing me. I ended up placing an order back on February 14. The car arrived at the dealer on April 31. I was able to see it yesterday and the car has a heavy layer of dirt and rail dust on it. What is the best way to loosen the debris? I do not have a foam gun.

Can't see anything wrong with your list. Good idea keeping it simple with the same family of products. GOOD LUCK!

Get yourself some Iron X! You will need this product without a doubt!

Good list, I know a lot of guys on here are sort of anti CG, but Blacklight + V7's a fantastic combo.

Hehe its a start :)

Honestly I think Chemical Guys does a really good job allowing noobs to get into the hobby. I love there youtube videos.

Does anyone know if Iron X is sold in any retail stores? I don't want to wait for shipping.

There could be some odd ball mom and pop detail shops that might carry Iron X, but I've never seen it anywhere except online. Walmart has Meguiars Dub line which has a Wheel Cleaner that's the same type of product.

I considered doing Blacklight then Jetseal on a recent detail but hesitated since Blacklight is considered a bit of a sealant as well. I wasn't sure if Jetseal would bond to the paint correctly if there was a sealant below it so I went with EZ Creme Glaze instead since some folks mentioned it's acrylic and won't interfere with the bonding of a sealant.

Does anyone know if Blacklight will interfere with the longevity of another sealant on top?

CG products are great - I particularly love their shampoos, and the EZ Creme Glaze.

Why would you want to put another sealant on top of the Blacklight?

As for loosening up the dirt, you might want to take it to a coin operated car wash so you can foam it down and pressure wash it. Then drive it home to do a good hand wash. VERY LIGHT PRESSURE WITH YOUR MITT OR SPONGE! Also make sure you're using the two bucket method.

Speaking of "synergy":
IronX? Doesn't Chemical Guys have a comparable product?

For now CG does not have an iron dissolving product. Surprising because they have ten different shampoos, waxes, sealants, and dressings.

Another great addition is the Hybrid V7
