Is Meg's APC good enough to remove dried wax from matte black plastic?

My day job boss has a Merc GLK and the last time he had it detailed they got wax scuffs on the mirror and the luggage rack supports. He was asking if I can get it off for him and I have some Meg's APC at home in heavy and normal dilution.

You could try the APC with a little stiff bristled brush. Like pictured in the "Mothers back to black"

Yes apc can remove dried wax though you may have to agitate it a few times with a brush

Not sure what is in the dedicated trim cleaners that makes them more effective than APC, but they are.

I have tried LATA and OPC with limited success

Duragloss Wax Eraser is terrible.

I used the Old Meguiar's #39 (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-39-vinyl-cleaner.html) on an older Camaro with compound and wax stains. Scrubbed with a microfiber and most of it came out, but re-appeared 10 minutes later. A second application knocked the rest of it out.

Well, I don't think he want to put it back in their hands. They run it though a automatic wash before they "detail" it and the tire rail damage the side of his wheel. They paid for wheel repair to come out and fix it but he wants to stay away from them. They are kinda Mickey Mouse Detailers. Knowing what I have learned here, they are like wanting a good steak and going to Burger King for it.
