I just purchased a used 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 4X4. Although the truck has low mileage, it did not get driven much nor cleaned much. I don't have a problem with that, that is what I do, and it will make for some great before and after pictures.
It has cloth interior and the seats are in great shape other than being dirty. I am a huge fan of leather, so my question to all the Geeks is this; Have you ever bought used leather seats or leather covers to replace the cloth?
My first thought is to go to the local salvage yard and get them to start looking for OEM seats that I can just pull out the old ones and put in the new/used ones. As long as they are in good shape, a good treatment will make them look great. I also looked into new covers that I would have installed over the old seat foam.
Any suggestions?

Katzkin leather interiors are pretty nice. This car was originally cloth:
