I just finished my wifes car and thought I would share my thoughts on the products I used and how well they worked.

1) Washed car with Meguires Gold car wash: Worked nice and had a nice lather. I would use this again.

2) Clayed the car with Clay Magic: Left the paint feeling like silk and was very easy to use. I would use this again.

3) UDM worked out very well with the exception of the on/off switch. I actually hit the button by accident and sprayed polish all over the interior which fortunately was leather so it cleaned right up. Other than that the machine worked very well and never bogged down.

4) The first polish used was Menzerna IP: This stuff dusted like crazy, I mean it was everywhere but the finish that it left was very impressive. I would definately use this again.

5) The second polish I used was Menzerna FP: This stuff didn't dust at all and left a finish that was beautiful. I would definately use this again.

6) Rewashed the car with Meguires Gold car wash: At this point the finish on the car was really looking nice.

7) Applied (2) coats of Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant Approx. 18 hours apart: After the first coat cured the finish looked dripping wet and the car felt so smooth I couldn't believe it, after the second coat it didn't look much different. This stuff is amazing and I will be using this again.

8) Applied (1) coat of XMT 180: It went on like butter but came off like Peanut Butter. I let it dry for about an hour and it was kind of a pain to buff it off. I'm not sure if the humidity down here has anything to do with it but it was alot of work to remove. I really don't think the 180 made much of a difference after the Wolfgang. I'll probably use it again because I have quite a bit left but I'll be trying other waxes.

After everything was said and done the car turned out beautiful, it didn't look this good when it was new. I'll try and post some pics of it later but it's been raining down here for awhile and it's cloudy so the pictures I've taken so far don't do the car justice.

Great reviews...Any :Picture:

One hint on XMT 180, I wipe it on, let it dwell for about 30 seconds, then wipe it right off.

1 hour is way to long, depending on heat/humid 10 min max.

Ok here's some pictures, they didn't turn out very good because it's so cloudy and wet outside I had to take them in the garage. This is my wifes daily driver with 50,000 miles on it.http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/mliebs8/th_DSCN1850.jpg (http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/mliebs8/DSCN1850.jpg)http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/mliebs8/th_DSCN1858.jpg (http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/mliebs8/DSCN1858.jpg)http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/mliebs8/th_DSCN1851.jpg (http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/mliebs8/DSCN1851.jpg)http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/mliebs8/th_DSCN1857.jpg (http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k56/mliebs8/DSCN1857.jpg)

I guess that would explain why it was so hard to get off.

Read the bottle, but the same general rule is the same for most products. Wax on, Wax (immediately) off. Do one panel at a time. For Sealant, wax entire car, drink beer, buff off.

The results look good. Can't wait to get my new silver car :)

The jar said to do one panel at a time and let it dry to a haze so I thought with the humidity it would take longer to dry so I just did the whole car. I'm doing my Hummer next so I'll just put it on and take it right back off one panel at a time. This is a tough crowd.

The toughest critic is the best critic, it is all in the interest of the beauty of your car. Would you rather us say "Grow some muscles" and let you continue doing it wrong? My read the label bit was not meant to be mean, the same rules apply when working with most products but you always want to read the label before working with a new product. Wax is thick and will quickly dry to a haze. If you take it off too quick, the product will just smear and be touch to take off. If you leave it on too long it will get hard and crusty and be tough to remove. It will not take too long using it to find the right balance.

You could wax two panels, then go back and remove the wax from the first panel, do the third panel, remove wax from second panel ... It just all depends on the working time of the wax.

No problem, I didn't take offense to anything I was just joking around. I'm getting ready to take more pics because the sun just came out. The first pictures don't do the car justice.

For Sealant, wax entire car, drink beer, buff off.

Thats the way it should be done:applause: except this would be a bit better: For sealant, drink beer, wax entire car, drink beer, buff off, drink more beer.:p
