So I am going to be polishing my Black 2013 Volvo S60 with a DA polisher this upcoming weekend. This will be the first time that I have polished this car since owning it and this will be the first time that I have ever used a DA polisher. Below I have listed at a high level the process that I am going to use for polishing the car any feed back would be greatly appreciated.
Background information..
The car has been maintained pretty well and has a very good coating of Zymol Titanium wax on it.
Process:
Wash with Chemical Guys Bug and Tar Remover
Clay using Nanoskin Fine Grade Pad
Preform an IPA Wipe Down, I know that some may think that this is not needed however I want to do this so that I can get a true since of what the cars paint is like without anything on it.
Polish the Car
Preform an IPA Wipe Down
Seal Using Chemical Guys Jet Seal
Top With Zymol Titanium Wax
Thoughts???

You've got a good basic plan, now what are you doing on your computer when you could be outdoors detailing? :props:
What polish are you planning to use?

I am going to use Chemical Guys V38 Final Polish and if I need it Chemical Guys V36 Cutting Polish.

Since you're apparently wanting to do the best job possible, I would add Iron-X into the process as step #2.

I love doing volvos!!!! Oh ya... Add some v34 for some of the deeper scratched. If you search my posts you can see some of the Volvos I've done. I did a black 850R that came out beautiful.

Do you have any pointers for doing a Volvo? I always see people talking about how hard or soft a given clear coat is however no one ever really says anything about Volvos, what has your experience been?
I did not get any V34 as I really don't have any deep scratches on the car I mainly have some light swirl marks on the paint. To be honest I am not even sure that I will need the V36, but I wanted to have it just in case.

I've done many of them...
1995 Red 850R
1996 Black 850R
1999 Black V70
1962 Red P1800
1995 Green met. 850
2013 Black S60 T-5
2012 White C30R
And too many 940's and 240's to list
You should be good with the V36 if there is no major scratches...volvo paints are softer and are easy to correct in my experience
If you have any questions pm me
