Which do you use for what process and why? Links to purchase would be nice too.

Cobra Indigo Cloths
Cobra Indigo Microfiber Polishing Cloths 12 Pack (http://www.autogeek.net/12pack.html)

In this article I saw Mike P using Cobra Indigo Polishing Cloths but then did a search on them and found this thread where an AG member was very disappointed with them:

Which made me second-guess my initial response to purchase some of them... now it's got me wondering, what ARE the best cloths/MF towels to use? Which process are they good for specifically?

no need to complicate things, if you want to keep it simple and pick up an all-around mf towel that can do it all then get a dozen or so in the 350-400gsm range. the plush gold mf towels sold here at AG would be a good choice. also, maintaining/care for the mf towels with a quality detergent makes all the difference in keeping them in tip tip shape for use over and over...

I figured there would be different towels for:

-Rims/Engine
-Windows - to clean with the window cleaning spray/product
-Windows - to 'buff'
-Paint drying (i.e. the Guzzler to pick up whats left after I leaf-blow the car)
-Wiping off compound/polish
-Wiping off wax

No matter how many MF towels I purchase my mother always tends to be stealing them away from me!

Niko, do a forum search with my name and microfiber. I have a thread from last summer with photos. Although now I have a LOT MORE towels than I did then, both styles (and amounts).

Microfiber Tech sells a 365 GSM towel that is identical to the Gold Plush Jr. (for instance).

If you need more info, or photos of towels just email me.

They also have some VERY NICE towels of all GSM ranges. Prices are much less than your typical "detailing" site, (which will sell for 3 ~ 4 times as much).

you can use the side that has a low nap (in regard to the gold plush cobra mf towels or the alike) for glass. costco has the kirkland brand bulk mf towels (36pk IIRC) that can be used for the non-paint related tasks like engines, wheels, interior, door jams, etc, etc,. keep an eye on the BOGO as there are some mf towels on there from time to time...
