Hello all,

New member here with my first post after reading the forum for a few weeks. I'm about to purchase my supplies for my first DA detail job and I'm excited to see the results. I have a 2010 Ford Fusion w/tuxedo black metallic paint. Overall, the paint is in pretty good condition, but has some moderate swirling and water spotting. Here is what I am thinking for my first job as a beginner. Going to be using a PC 7424XP . Let me know what you think or any suggestions you may have!

Wash
Clay
Meg's UC w/LC CCS 5.5 orange pad
Meg's 205 w/LC CCS 5.5 white pad
Collinite 845 w/LC CCS 5.5 gray pad

Debating whether or not to add a sealant before the Collinite...

Does it need Megs UC? Do a test spot using the white pad and M205 first. If it needs more correction, then step up to the UC. If you do end up using the UC, skip the M205 and go straight to Coll 845 (after IPA wipedown). Polish with M205 next detail. UC will give you an LSP ready finish (in my experience).

No sealant before the 845 (845 is technically a sealant). Do an IPA wipedown (10-15% dilution) and put on the 845. Make sure you read the "definitive guide to this legendary wax" thread about the 845. Warm it up and apply it THIN.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to test spot first and see if it needs more correction.
