All Purpose Cleaner
Mineral Spirits
Kleen Strip Prep-All

A photo would help a lot....

Use a small stiff brush and scrub the affected area, wipe dry, then treat with a quality trim treatment.

I use Tuff Shine Tire Cleaner and one of those stiff white cotton wash clothes I "borrowed" from a cheap motel off of I-95 - don't ask what I was doing there.

Peanut Butter. Wipe it on let it dwell and wipe off with a clean microfiber. Wash car as normal. The oils in the peanut butter lift the wax. By the way use creamy not chunky. Hold the jelly as well. Saw this on YouTube and tried it and works.

APC and a brush. Try a paint safe detailing brush (like the "vent brush" sold at the AG store). You could use a wax removal stiff bristle brush also (like the "nylon" brush in the kit below).

Auto Vent Brush (http://www.autogeek.net/autoventbrush.html)

DETAILING BRUSH KIT- Three detailing brushes for those who demand the greatest attention to details! Crevice brushes, interior brush (http://www.autogeek.net/pindetbruski.html)

Fire.

Fire will remove wax from trim, adbesive from paint, trim from vehicle, paint from metal.... some say water is the universal solvent. I submit fire as a close runner up....

Oh, did you want a safe, effective method? See above posts. Hold the jelly. Maybe use jam.

I love moonshine :)
