Hey guys,

I took a sick day today and decided it's as good a day as any to get my bike's exhaust polished up before I put it back on.

The products I used were WG's swirl remover and #0000 steel wool by hand. I didn't take any before pics but there was lots of carbon near the tips and lots of crust and road grime everywhere. It seemed to do the trick quite nicely. I thought about throwing some LSP on there but I don't think it would take the heat. I've heard some coatings can but I haven't experimented with coatings yet.

And the bike it's off of (1974 Honda CB750):

I did a restoration on it the winter before last but had the engine out again this winter due to a small oil leak. I'm trying to get it back together to get riding but winter has been holding on soooooo long here. Arg! Now it seems we're in for a wet spring.

Oh well. Hopefully you enjoy the pics.

Yes I love my bike. The restoration was fun and I'm super pleased with the results. I do, however, have some work to do soon on getting it cleaned up for this coming up riding season. It's amazing how dirty a bike can get even with only 2000 miles on it last year.

Thanks for looking.

You know, I looked at those pipes and mufflers and they looked suspiciously similar to the ones I had on my 1976 Honda 750......and I was right!! Im the MANIm the MAN

That Honda took me all over the US back in the day and I have some great memories....Thanks for the stroll down memory lane!

OH, the pipes came out great too! :props:
