I just returned from a 10 day vacation to find this on the hood of my truck. It's an eyesore that is pissing me off.
I would rather do things myself than pay a shop tons of money.
I'll also say I have plenty of time to fix this as I'm in the retiring process with extra time on my hands. (not saying that I want to leave this on my truck any longer)
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Clay bar, m105 and m205 with a DA might do the trick if the etching isn't too deep.

You do NOT have plenty of time to fix this.

It will etch the paint if left too long. Hopefully, it happend at the end of your vacation and has only been there for a day.

What have you tried so far?

Most Bird Bombs will come off with a regular car wash soap.

I have not tried anything yet because I wanted to get some recommendations first.

Wash the truck today and see if the bird bomb did any damage/etching to the clear coat.

The longer is sits, the more damage it will do.

If you don't have time to wash the entire vehicle. Wet a microfiber towel, lay it on the spot for 5 minutes and then gently wipe it away.

Washed the truck and that stain is etched into clear coat. While wiping it off there is clearly some scratches in the clear coat.

Poop stain?

Try scrubbing in the sink with Tide -always works for me.

Oh.. On your car.

Hmmm.. First try to compound it out - which probably won't work. Then try wet sanding with 3000 grit. Hen compound and polish. Of course, you may want to check your paint thickness first.

Oh gosh... I'm a new member, but I've seen a couple of your posts. You're having way too much fun with giving people advice. Makes me laugh every time.

Good luck, I hope it comes out! Hopefully you had some sealant and/or wax on the vehicle.

It's just bird crap. Just wipe it off.

Given bird crap can contain sand, I'd rather people never just wipe it off.
