Sorry, nothing too exciting this time.....

The owner's of this vehicle contacted me last year because they were anticipating purchasing a new vehicle this Spring. We setup an appointment well ahead of time as they planned on purchasing one in mid April. They brought their brand new (picked it up 1 week prior to appointment) 2014 Accord to me for a through new car prep service since I had advised them to politely decline any dealer washing or detailing. The car was carefully cleaned, decontaminated, polished, and protected and looked fantastic afterwards.

Process
Tires: Meguiar's D103 (4:1) with Tuf Shine Brush
Wheels: Meguiar's D103 (10:1) with various tools
Foam PreSoak: CG Citrus Wash
Wash: CG Citrus Wash
Decontamination 1: IronX
Decontamination 2: Fine Grade Clay with Glide as Lubrication
Polish: CarPro Reflect on Crimson LC pad via Rupes LHR21ES and Rupes LHR75E
Coating Prep: CarPro Eraser
Paint Protection Coating: CarPro CQuartz UK
Tires: Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel
Glass: Meguiar's D120 with DI Glass Towels
Interior was lightly cleaned and dressed

The vehicle arrived with typical dirt and water spots from daily driving.

After cleaning the tires & wheels, the vehicle was foamed, carefully washed, treated with IronX, rinsed and then pulled inside to begin claying.

While this clay does not look nearly as bad as most used vehicles, you can easily see the contamination that was being removed. Even brand new cars need a thorough detail to really bring out their best appearance.

Thankfully the vehicle was already in very good shape because I advised the owners to politely decline any dealer prep or detailing. A light polish was used to remove some light defects and refine the surface to produce an amazing glossy surface.

Checking for a perfect finish in the sunlight (don't mind the dust... it is pollen season already :( ).

Checking my work along the way with various lights...

Looking good after polishing.

CQuartz UK was applied to provide years of durable protection, incredible shine, and a very deep, rich looking paint.

The owner's weren't sure their brand new car needed "all this work", but when they picked it up they were amazed at how good it looked and very pleased with their decision to have the vehicle properly detailed.

CQuartz UK has a noticeably "richening effect" on most paint colors. It makes dark colors even darker, and the gloss is stunning.

Beautiful work as always buddy. That is definetly one black looking car. I use Cquartz UK all the time, I actually prefer that over regular Cquartz. Just curious did you use CG citrus wash red or the chemical guys citrus wash and gloss? Great work.

Just the standard CW... not Wash & Gloss.

Top notch work! Looks soaking wet! Love that CQUK! It's all I use now. I find it so much better an easier to apply and knock down than traditional waxes and sealants.

Great job; every car you do seems to get an amazing crystalline clear finish--is part of that the CQuartz?

Does that apply to the regular CQuartz? Is there that much of a difference? Do you need to be an authorized installer? Txs. BTW nice job OP.

Thanks! UK is definitely a great product, and you can't beat the price!

The silica coatings that I use so often really do have a unique look to them... the hard/candy shell shine is a characteristic of these coatings.

You can't go wrong with either, but I give the edge to UK for the lower price while still offering amazing protection and insane gloss.

I stopped using 22ple and started offering UK as my 'basic' coating because I wanted to simplify my options (my premium product is CQuartz Finest, therefore using another CQuartz product leads to less confusion for customers) and since UK is considerably cheaper than 22ple I am able to offer UK at a lower cost so more people are able to make the investment in more durable protection.

CQuartz, CQuartz UK, and CQuartz Finest are all completely different formulas and therefore are all applied completely differently.

I have never used the original CQuartz, but I have been told on many occasions that UK is much more user friendly.

The only one that requires you to become an Authorized Professional is CQuartz Finest.

Gorgeous! I've got a black 13 Accord Sport that needs a polish and wax. Unfortunately it got dented in a parking lot and I had to take it into the bodyshop. They fixed the dent - but good Lord the buffer trails they left behind are awful. M105 to the rescue in a month after the out-gassing is done.

Thanks!

You can polish the vehicle now, you just don't want to seal it until it has had a chance to cure for 30 days or so.
