I need a recommendation for a economical back to black type product for tires. It will be used on my customers cars.

What are you looking for, a dressing? Or a way to clean the tires back to black?

Megs D170 Hyper Dressing.

I have the Megs hyper dressing, but it leaves them still looking brown. I need something to restore the blackness of the tire before dressing it.

Thanks

I use Megs All Seson Dressing on daily drivers.

Mothers Back to Black TIRE CLEANER has been out about a year now. There are couple of threads around on it. Does a fantastic job of removing the brown and gives the tire a like new appearance, but the tire still needs to be dressed.

Um...generally members clean their tires with something like APC, Amazing Roll Off, a dedicated tire/wheel cleaner, or a dedicated tire cleaner. As noted above, this is one that has gotten good reviews for removing brown:

Mothers Back to Black Tire Renew, tire cleaner (http://www.autogeek.net/mothers-back-to-black-tire-renew.html)

I bought some but I haven't tried it yet.

Purple Power and a good scrubbing.

Orange Citrus Degreaser mixed 4 to 1. I know others have good success with Amazing roll-off too

I love the Meguiar's Hyper dressing, it gives you a dark, rich look.

For even darker, longer lasting protection try the Turtle Wax tire coat it, not the spray but the Endeavor coating kit! you apply it with an applicator pad

I've had good success with OPC at 3/1, and better success with DP exterior cleanse all1/1, but haven't had much luck with Amazing Roll Off (honestly disappointed).

Megs D170 Hyper Dressing.

This^

$40 for a gallon and can be diluted 4:1 thus making 4 gallons @ $10 a gallon.

Thanks everyone. I am gonna give the mother's a try. I am cleaning the tires first with megs non-acid wheel & tire cleaner. It works well, but leaves some tires brown. I always dress with the megs hyper dressing after.
