wet/ dry vac HP question??f

I plan on deep cleaning my car upholstery once a 1yr and Friends, and Family cars. IS 5HP to much for personal use.


This also has to be portable
2-3gallans max.. Don't need a huge one :-)

HP is not a reliable indicator of suction power or effectiveness of a given vacuum.

Most people on the Forum suggest that Inches of Water Lift is a better indicator.

I have a 5HP Shop-Vac that I have used for detailing. it works well for general vacuuming and works OK for removing liquid residue from carpet cleaning.
