View Full Version : AG Detailer's Bag - Questions for those who have one

I'm planning to start helping out some friends / family with detailing theirs cars on the weekend, I'm looking for ways to make my products more mobile than the plastic tub I keep them in now. As such, from people who own one of the AG (or proprietary brand labeled) bags, I am hoping to get a few answers to questions.

Of note, I'm not worried about using center section space as I have a separate bag already for my DA, just looking to use this as a product and supplies transport.

1.) being that many of my materials are spray bottles in the standard consumer oblong shape (examples like Megs UQW and Optimum products come in) do these fit well in the outer pockets OR do you need to keep them in the center section?

2.) if using center for products, does the weight often cause the "floor board" to collapse into the hidden pocket below?

3.) is the center of the bag wide enough to slide a 6in pad to fit width wise if products are inserted on the side or do they need to run length wise?

Thanks in advance as I always get great feedback from you all!

1) typically no, the standard spray bottle sizes will not fit in the pockets- the exception that I've found is that 16 oz CG bottles fit great. You can find these bottles on amazon, if you don't have CG products.

2) no. The bag is structurally sound. If you are worried, carry foam pads or microfiber there for extra support.

3) I find that once you fill the outer pockets with supplies, 6.5" pads are too cramped sitting flat. Use the top pocket for other supplies, products, or tools and brushes.. leave the pads in a separate bag with your polisher.

Detailers "Bags" are great for spray bottles, but in my opinion, you will eventually need bins.

1. Polishes, Compounds, Pads, Coatings

2. Microfiber Towels (must be kept separate from everything else at all times)

3. Wash supplies- brushes, nozzles, mitts

4. Polishers and extension cords

Thanks, gents. And nice looking mustang allen4k.

I think I'll grab one and see how it goes. I probably have enough products to fill 3 bags - bins will remain - but if I can just get the 8-10 bottles I'm likely to use on the car I'm working with I'll be satisfied.

The Home Depot bag fits 32oz spray bottles. Three each side - six total, with one pocket on each end that will handle the flatter spray bottles.
Still a nice comfortable tote.

I picked up a couple 12" craftsman tool totes to carry around my modest collection. The 16oz chemical guys bottles fit in the pouches and it's got enough room to fit my garden sprayers too. And they're cheap!
