This will be my second type of Window Coating I tried this year.

My question is. How long do I like it set before buffing this off. Do I let it haze lite Rainx?

Should I use a waffle weave towel to remove or a microfiber towel?

I only have experience with G1, but that process was fairly easy for a coating that lasts multiple years. I have seen threads of it going strong after 15,000 miles!

For G5, apply and immediately remove. I saw this from Rob, managing director of GTechniq, on a thread in the UK. I've heard it is more difficult to remove than G1, and more difficult if G4 was not used before.

Have you searched Google with "GTechniq G5 application"? I found quite a few threads if you're having trouble with it. All in all, it sounds like it isn't too bad and you get fairly good durability.

I know I'm loving G1, so if it's anything like that, I'm sure you'll be thrilled! Happy detailing!

Radarryan....Did you experience any wiper chatter with the G1?

Can't say I have. In all honesty, I haven't used my wipers much with the car it is currently applied to (my car I try to drive in the rain doesn't have it, yet). I will try to apply it on all the cars and report back.

Did you experience this? I have read up on it, and I can't remember if I read people having this issue. I have to say, the hydrophobic attributes of G1, at least from what I've seen washing the car, have been pretty great.

I have had excessive wiper chatter in light rain.

Because of the angle of the windshield on my SUV, the rain does roll-off, but not like in the videos using sports cars with more rake.

I recently put Rain-X over the G1 in hopes that it will help. In SoCal now, so it hasn't rained in awhile.

Bump.
The G5 is thick and not watery like aquapel. How long do I let it sit before buffing off?

Looks nothing like

I'd say just let it haze up then wipe off.

Directions:

1.Thoroughly clean and dry surfaces.

2.If being used on glass, first use G4 Glass Nano Polish to remove contaminants.

3.Shake bottle well, then work in a small circular motion using overlapping passes. A microfiber applicator works best.

4.Immediately remove residue using a flat-weave microfiber towel.

You are in for a workout if you let any window coating "sit" before wiping off! I can't comment on G5 but every one I have applied I put it on fast and wipe it off fast.

I applied G5 for the first time last week - it's a PIA to wipe off! Wasn't expecting it to a thick brown liquid either.
