Need some suggestions, i have been using Lake Country 6.5 pads on my Porter Cable and my Flex 3401. Lately the pads haven't been lasting as long. Anyone have any suggestions to a better pad?

Are you cleaning the pad after a panel or so? Once the pad is caked with product it does not have any cutting/polishing ability.

I use a baby tooth brush nice and soft and compressed air to loosen and remove dried compound on pads while I'm detailing.
After that CG pad cleaner works great for me to keep them squeaky clean. I would stay away from powder cleaners as any undissolved powder can lodge itself in your pads.

I second the CG pad cleaner. It works great. Although I do a couple of panels and then use a tooth brush to get the remnants off after each panel or so.

I usually change pads after 3-5 panels, or in the case of MF pads when they get too warm.

Lasting as long as in being able to work with them and having results or are they actually falling apart?

I clean mine with either a nylon brush or pad washer while working. I did use the XMT cleaner a few times, but now us DP powder dissolved in my pad washer.

I found all LC pads to be the least durable when compared to Hex, Sonax, Scholl and Optimum pads.

They are actually coming apart. And loosing shape, velcro starts to peel off, and center area getting soft. I ordered some hybrid hoping their better, but if not im gonna switch brands

How do you dry them? Best to place the pad face down, Velcro side up

You are most likely working them too hot.. this is what always happens when you work a pad too long and it gets too hot.
