Heard this was more user friendly than megs 101 is this true and why?

I've never used M101 but have UC and really love it. No dusting compared to M105 and a much longer working time. It's also super easy to wipe off since it's a consumer product. Only downside compared to M101 or M105 is that UC has less cut, but I find that on most paints it seems to have enough cut to get rid of most problems.

You cant compare Ultimate Compound in terms of cut to M101, theres just no comparison. M101 is a heavy cut, more than M105. UC is more "newbie" friendly because it contains more oils to lubricate the surface, giving you a longer working time.

I love UC, use it with LC MF pads. Excellent cut and finish.

My guess it UC is the most sold Compound in the USA being one it works, two, an over the counter product.

I have a few compounds that I can use but still at time pickup the UC for paints that's not in bad shape, works really good with a DA and an orange Lake Country Flat pad.

And you are far less likely to get into trouble with UC. M101 on the other hand, is like a fire-breathing dragon.

I would never use M105 ever again. Sure it works but its outdated and dusts like crazy. M101 is like M105 2.0. Cuts very well and also finishes quite nice and is low dusting. Just my 2 cents.

Doing damage with a DA would require a lot of effort ;) They are designed to be totally safe for the paint. M105 is annoying to use outside, it tends to dust a lot. You can remedy that by having a moist pad or using mineral oil to prime the pad. UC works very well too. The only downside to UC is that it's very expensive compared to M105. If you are not in the detailing business the extra 5$ is not Worth the trouble of using M105 IMO. If you are in the detailing business then paying twice for a product that is a little less agressive than M105 might not be the best choice.
