My buddy got his hood a couple months ago. He got it off craigslist for $200. It was pretty oxidized from the florida sun and engine bay heat. He insisted I couldn't do anything for it and it needed wet sanding.

After I detailed it we were planning on taking it to the strip for the 1/4 mile to do a couple runs. So I said screw it I had some extra time on my hands including products lets see what we can do for this hood!

I started with a test spot of the hood. The M101 with a 5 1/2" Lake County orange cutting pad using my GG6. M101 is what this hood needed.

Talk about a test spot huh? lol

I followed up with a 5 1/2" white polishing pad and some M205 to clean it up. Sealed with Colinite 845. Turned out great! My friend was amazed at how much it brought the hood back all he could do was smile! :dblthumb2:

The car is my friends DD so he didn't want to go too hard on it down the track. Best run was 13.996 @ 101.22. :dblthumb2:
