View Full Version : Fixing Loose Trim

I borrowed my Father-in-Law's truck. I plan to give it a much needed detail as soon as the UDM arrives. So, please ignore the dirt in the pictures. I should be posting pictures next weekend.

Until then, I need help with fixing the trim. He has a loose bit of vinyl trim that I have put back into place but it always comes out by itself. How can I fix this? Should I use glue, silicone caulk, or what?

Thanks!

3M sells a trim adhesive and made specificly for that...In fact I was at wal mart yesterday to get a 3M sanding pen..only place that has them...LOL....and right next to the pen was the trim adhesive...I would clean the areas up and then wipe them with a solvent like 3M wax remover or prep sol sold at wal mart also... and glue them following the directions on the adhesive...I have used the adhesive to reglue a few trim pieces on my sons motorcycle and it works well..as long as the surfaces are wax and silicone free...
