Hello all. I have been thinking of investing in Microfiber pads and had a few questions. I will be using a GG6 with a 5 inch backing plate.

1- Optimum vs Megs pads? which and why?

2- I can use M105, M205 and Ult. compound with these pads? (I ask since megs has their line of Microfiber compound/polish/wax) but Based on some research, this is okay for me to use.

3- any other specifics I should know? From what I have read, it seems pretty straight forward.

Thank you!

Meg's are great! The key to MF pads is keeping them clean.

Great, thanks Pureshine. Decided to purchase the Meguiars DMCKIT5 DA Microfiber Correction System 5 Inch Starter Kit. I get to test it on the lady friends Jeep.

IMO MF cuts faster but foam finishes better. I would check out Car-Pro MF pads. I love them and I have heard about meg's pads not lasting long. I have not had one fail on me yet.

The only MF pads I have used are the Rupes ones, which are amazing. Yes they were used on a non-Rupes machine
