What are you guys using for a once a year wax or sealant for the daily drivers you detail?

Jet seal is suppose to have one year durability

A wax typically won't last you a year on a DD. I use 2 layers of Collinite 845 (almost a hybrid sealant/wax) with 6 months protection.

To last a year you will need something more towards a coating like Opti-Coat. Unfortunately I don't have much experience in this area so hopefully others can comment on good coatings.

Collinite 845 for winter, probably still not enough protection for where I live.

Opti-coat maybe?

I'm only just getting back into detailing, but if you use wax, might it last a year if you also use use spray wax after washing? Do spray waxes help the durability of an LSP, or is it mostly for extra gloss?

It's a "booster". Just adds more to what you've already done to protect it.

If you use something like Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax as a drying aid after every wash you will be good.

A coating will be less work and last longer, but in my opinion less fun :xyxthumbs:

The best once a year wax is the coating of your choice. No wax or sealant will last a year - at least where I live.

Something like Klasse twins acrylic sealant will last the better part of a year if maintained properly. Anything longer than that you are stepping into the hybrid sealant/coating territory. That said, all LSPs should be monitored to ensure they are holding up and or haven't been damaged. Even the semi-permanent coatings benefit from spray sealants as a maintenance step.
Are you looking for something besides durability? What steps do you plan on doing before the LSP application?

Companies do use different "naming-systems" for their products.
And if you should believe some of these Companies' marketing...
Then it's: NuFinish.

The only car polish tough enough to be called
"The Once-A-Year Car Polish." [Unquote]

Wait a minute:
Actually, it's only an 11 months of claimed durability/protection-product.
You're supposed to add an additional layer,
30 days after the initial application.

HMMM...
If there's some fudging with those numbers,
could some other fudging also be going on?
