I was curious to find out what tips from AGO you all have found most helpful since joining the site.

I've always been into keeping my car clean. I also always thought I knew what I was doing. That is until I found AGO. I threw away most everything I had before and have spent a lot of money on my newly rediscovered hobby.

I was fortunate that when I bought my truck back in October, it was swirl free and thanks to Mike and everyone else on AGO, it's still swirl free.

There are quite a few things I've learned since joining AGO

Selecting, using and caring for MF towels
Using the two wash mitt system, one for the bottom of the truck and one for the top.
How to keep the paint maintained using the correct polishes and waxes.
Cleaning windows
Proper methods for defect removal

There are quite a few more, but you get the idea that I basically had to completely reset the way I maintained my cars finish.

The single best advice I learned from lurking and reading what various people said on one of radarryan's threads, using Menzerna Sf4500 with a crimson hydro tech 5.5" LC pad. The results are phenomenal!

Do a "test spot" and if you are happy with the results then continue on with the rest of the vehicle.

I am not sure if I heard from Mike here or from Mike at Meguiars first though. :props:

Regardless, it definatley is worth the time to do rather then waste a day polsihing an entire vehicle and being unhappy with the results and having to do it all over again!
