Check this out. It's being sold at Lowes in a kit to polish cars. The outer pad spins one way, the inner pad the other. The rotation is rotary.

Very intereesting....

Wonder how it feels in your hand as you buff flat or curved panels.

Regardless of how well it does or doesn't work, the most important factor as it relates to getting good results will always come down to the abrasive technology being used in the products. After this key factor then it will be the other factors,

Type of pad
Technique
Paint system

Looked it up, its from the same place that brought out the "dual saw" that they showed on the "Pitchmen" tv show.

Just like any other industry, the things that seem gimmicky probably arent worth the look. I cant see how this would provide any additional benefit to polishing a vehicle other than possibly nuetralizing the feeling of torque in your hands from pad friction (kind of like a dual rotor helicopter?)

LOL 1 star rating..

Also OP, charge your phone! :)

That's a good price for a rotary though..

looks like one of the downsides to this is there is no compatibility to use different pads because it requires the outer o-ring as well as the inner pad as well...
