This is going to seem like an odd question but please stick with me. I bought a used vehicle as a daily driver/project car. Not much is wrong with it but the main problem is the previous owner sealed the sunroof half assed. They used silicone and some of that flex seal liquid rubber spray and got it all over the roof. It seems to kinda scratch off with my nails but I was wondering if there was a easier more efficient way to remove this without damaging the paint. Thanks. I will post some pics later.

What about one of the 3m adhesive eraser wheels? Or a plastic razor blade... I'm sure you would have to buff it out afterwards but it might be the easiest way

Think of this stuff as if it you are debageing your car try to heat it up and with floss or plastic razor gently try to loosen the bond from the surface then once loosen compound, and polish you could also try goo gone too

Perhaps this?

Mothers R3 Racing Rubber Remover, rubber scuff remover, boot scuff eraser (http://www.autogeek.net/mothers-rubber-remover.html)

A solvent based dressing like Black Magic spray may work. That stuff eats plasti dip and I'm assuming flex seal has a similar composition.

I used Plasti Dip as a Luv Bug bug barrier when going on vacation. What didn't peel off came off with WD40 :xyxthumbs:
