Pulled the trigger and ordered the Flex 3401 VRG HD with the backing plate system. Autopia had a 3 day sale with free shipping. Didn't want to step on Autogeek toes but they werre a little less expensive there. I did notice it's a PBMA website so does it come out of the same warehouse? I asume then that Max is still making money. Is this just another site that Autogeek runs? Looking forward to using it as I now use a PC . I think this may help me get jobs done faster.

You're gonna love the 3401, make sure to check out the tutorials. It was a bit of a learning curve for me, with the forced rotation the pad sometimes walks around on you. Focusing on perfecting your technique fixes this right up.

Also, AG will price match anyone

The Flex 3401 VRG is a great machine! You will love it. I have a PC 7424 XP and that is used rarely ever since I got the Flex. Great choice

Congratulations on the purchase of the Flex 3401! This is a kick-ass machine that leaves everything else in its class in the dust.

I bought one a couple years ago from Autogeek and am very satisfied. Makes me wonder if its worth it to learn the rotary. I still want to though.

Thanks for all the input guys. I have a PC now and have used a Black and Decker 2300 rpm rotary since 1977. It is still working great. I don't use it too often but it's one speed and believe me. You better know what your doing with it or it's burn city. I use wool pads on it. I'm old school. I learned to buff before clear coat.
