Here's my review on Son1c Wax Carnaubavore. Let me start by saying I'm a big believer in supporting local business and US made products. I found Drew at Son1c wax through social media on detailing stuff. I realized he was actually very local to me and did some research on his wax and decided to get in contact with him to buy some to give it a chance. He was kind enough to drop it off in person and give me a basic run down on the product. At first I was a little skeptic of the wax, being it was his first product, a company I never heard of. I decided to test it out on my 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R with 100,000 miles.

Packaging and appearance - Simple clean and easy to read, product usage was very simple and straight forward.

Application - was very simple and friendly, Used a red UFO solid style applicator. Products spreads thin and easy. it's a hard style wax and usually I am not a fan of that because of how hard it can be to spread. I was extremely pleased with out easy it was to apply from container to applicator and applicator to paint surface. A little goes a long ways with this product.

Removal of wax - Removes pretty effortlessly for a hard wax. I didn't feel much resistance while buffing the product off. I did use a little quick spray of a quick detailer to assist in the removal as he suggested and that combo does work out very nicely

Impressions - The color enhancement was good, The clarity surprised me as most waxes I've used in the past give more of a vibrant glow vs a nice deep clean shine with clarity. The one thing I was looking forward to testing was the beading and how hydrophobic. The beads were nice and tight the water rolled off the paint surface extremely fast and smooth.

The biggest thing about the Son1c Wax that impressed me was the longevity of it. Most All natural waxes I've used in the past fall flat on it's face in 2 months or less. I applied this Wax back in early October of 2013 i think right after this wax launched.

This was taken early February and the total of 4 month strong. I can't forget to included that this car is parked in a garage every night but was exposed the weather from 70 degrees down to 5 degrees rain and snow and driven about 2500 miles.

Here's a picture of the jar after 5-6 applications on other cars I used with this wax. The jar looks like it did pretty much after i bought it. A little really does go a long ways and a incredible bang for the buck.

Great review. I wish I knew about SON1C wax before I bought SSII. I would have no doubt bought from a local small business before a big corp.

Great car as well! I used to have an 05 Altima SER - in silver with the red leather inserts. Is yours auto or manual? Mine had about 150k miles and was starting to become burdensome with repairs, so it had to go. Pretty fun car though.

I'll keep an eye out for a RED SER with an offset plate!!!

It's a manual. I've sadly owned 4 3.5 liter Altima's as daily's. Always been a big Nissan fan and owner, I've had a 300zx twin turbo do there pickup trucks, and a R32 GTR. The repairs I know will happen but mostly do a lot of my own mechanical work

Never too later to give the wax a chance

Very nice and enjoy the SER! 100k isn't bad...as long as its not burning oil yet. If not, I would look into some HFPC to get rid of the cause. Maybe some ones from Racingline for example.

I definitely plan on giving the wax a go.

Nice review! I really like the pictures (posters?) of the different tracks up high on your wall. I need to get some of those! I see the Nurburgring GP course and Circuit de la Sarthe but couldn't make out the next two. I'll guess and probably make a fool out of myself but I would have to say Suzuka Circuit and Silverstone (I know, I know, terrible guesses)...

I hope I didn't just forfeit all my motorsports cred since I am a huge racing fan and enthusiast. Happy detailing!

Perhaps you would like these? Rather pricey, but I guess that depends on how much of a racing fan you are.

Great review! I'm really impressed with the durability you got, especially with it being exposed to the weather. I haven't had a chance to test durability yet, I only put it on my "Saturday" car so far.

Great review and thanks for sharing it. Drew puts out a great product and you can certainly tell that he is very passionate about wax and delivering something that people will be pleased with.

I have yet to try out Carnaubavore, but have used Merry Waxmas, and it is an amazing product. I'll give Carnaubavore a shot next.
