So tomorrow I'm working on a Subaru WRX. Plan of attack is:
ONR
Nanoskin w/Glide
Poorboys AIO and LC green smart pad
Collinite 845 amd LC white smart pad
Just wondering if this will be sufficient.

A test spot should tell you what is sufficient. Every paint system is different. Only you can determine what works.

Yup, a test spot is a must on these cars as the paint is very soft

What goals exactly are you trying to accomplish on this car?

It's in pretty good condition. Just minimize swirling and scratches and get the shine up.

It doesn't sound like the customer is paying for serious correction, so why deviate from your standard process? At best, I would do a test spot with a couple different AIOs to see which have the best result.

The only AIO I have is the Poorboys. I do however have UC/105/205. I'll make the final decision tomorrow in the sunlight. Your feedback is much appreciated. :)

The 105/205 should only be coming out if you're doing a correction job. If this is just a production type detail job, hit it with your AIO and be done with it, in my opinion.

That's most likely what I'll end up doing I'm sure. Just thought I'd put it out there.

I have detailed 3 Subaru's now and ALL have had extremely soft and sticky paint. I have managed excellent correction with a DA, a finishing polish (Menzerna SF 4000) and a finishing pad (LC Crimson).
You REALLY need to ensure you do your test spots with the LEAST aggressive combo you have.
Here are the full write ups for reference.

IMO there is a real possibility that even a AIO Cleaner wax type product, if paired with a fairly aggressive pad, could be overkill.
Goodluck and let us know how it goes:xyxthumbs:

105/205, ime, is way to aggressive.. 205 with a medium cut pad should do the trick for a significant difference

SF4500 on a white pad worked wonders on my old silver 2007 STi

I took more after pics than I did before pics. All I have is my camera on my phone right now so maybe not that great but it turned out great.
