Audi TT Full Correction (Day Four - Final)

Well, at 37 hours, praise the Lord, we are done.

- It wasn't a great day to take pictures.
- I hate my camera (my incompetence not the camera).
- I'm a really bad photographer (I have signed up for lessons).
- These are a few decent pictures.
- Final prep using Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Regular.
- Final LSP is Swissvax Mystery.

Can you provide a list of products that you used? I'm going to be working on a 2011 Brilliant Black A4, and could use some suggestions! That looks great!

This was a massive and ongoing effort...refer to previous posts. I will provide a short list of products used.

- 3M Trizact 3000-5000 grit paper on Rupes Duetto and Mini.
- Rupes microfiber blue disks with Rupes Zephir.
- Megs microfiber disks with Rupes Zephir.
- Rupes green pads with Scholl Concept's S3 Gold.
- Rupes yellow pads with Sonax Perfect Finish.
- Rupes white pads with Sonax Perfect Finish combine with Rupes Ultra Diamond.

incredible, absolutely incredible. That paint was trashed, and I can't believe this is the same car. Stunning work! I wish there were before AND after pictures in this thread.

I have a question. A while back ago I was going to use the carpro denim pads on my truck to remove the mild amount of factory orange peel. Every one urged me not to though as I could burn through the clear coat. Obviously wet sanding is far more aggressive so my question to you since you are experienced with wet sanding and I assume that's the factory clear on the TT is wet sanding safer? I want my black truck to look as flawless as that TT and standard buffing & polishing just isn't cutting it. Lol no pun intended.

Zero work on the interior. The wheels were terrible. The first time Sonax Full Effect has failed me...had to use CarPro Trix...a far superior product but hideously expensive.

You always want to leave some orange peel or there won't be much to work with the next time someone wants to polish it. Wet sanding with 3000-5000 is less aggressive than CarPro denim pads with the added advantage of not heating up the surface. I would not go any more aggressive than 3000 on OEM paint using the Duetto or the Mini. They cut really fast. Get a GG 3" polisher, some 5000 paper, and watch Mike's excellent tutorial. You won't screw the paint up. Once you're comfortable with that, try 3000. PM me if you have any questions.
