After much debate, I have come to terms with my ability and patience and I will be having my car professionally cut and covered with opti-coat.

There are a few other things that I want to do with my car and will either be using blackout tape or plasti-dip on the chrome trim. Will either of those stick to opti-coat, or do I need to tell the shop to stay away from the chrome when they apply it?

Thank you

Both should stick to the Opti-Coat. IMO, I like the look of vinyl wrap better than Plasti-Dip. Its more money, but well worth it. I did the chrome trim around my windows with plasti-dip, and converted to vinyl wrap.

I have tried applying CQUK on plasti dipped wheels
It required TONS of product, because well... plasti dip is sticky.
U really gotta keep the applicator MOIST to be able to slide it around the plasti dip.

However, i believe it is holding up quite well. As my wheels are still beading.
It is doable, but i am not sure if it is worth it.

Thanks for the info, EvolutionDetail, but I'm looking at it the other way. My car will be opti-coated BEFORE I get a chance to start playing around with plasti-dip.
