I read that many apply a synthetic sealant followed by a carnauba wax. We all know carnauba doesnt last as long as synthetic sealants. So why isnt carnauba applied first followed by a synthetic ?
What is the trade off?
Thank you

Wax is not applied first cause it wears away sooner as result you don't want your sealant to take all the beating at that's why you would add a wax so it can take on some of weight also if you apply a wax first after a few week/three months the wax, and your sealant will wear away cause the sealant is bonded to wax instead of the paintwork

Good point about the sealant bonded to wax. I never thought about it that way.
Thanks for the advice.
