RECALL: 150,000 Honda generators

Came across this and though I would share since I have been considering buying a HONDA EU2000i

Since that recall is over a year old, any new Honda EU2000i generator you bought today would be fine, since any bad product would have been pulled from retailer shelves. It is only if you were considering buying a used one where there could be a problem.

Well i am actually looking for a inverter generator.
I really wanted a honda or yamaha.

But the costco one with the yamaha engine will work for me!!

Yes it's a really old RECALL, I had one for my snow thrower (RECALL) never received any notice was search online for a part and came across recall that was several years old, contacted the number and they said I was still covered, I was posting the info in case someone may have bought USED and was not informed of recall. Some people buy generators for storms and emergencies and never use or test then when pressed for money or space SELL them and never heard about recalls.

And further down the road, something breaks.
Will the manufacture still cover your warranty? Or u would have to have some sort of proof of purchase?
