Carpet Pile

What do you guys use to rejuvenate carpet pile? The carpets and floor mats in my car are clean, just a bit matted down.

Can you provide pictures? What have you done so far? I'd start with a simple brushing

I would stream the carpets and then use a brush and move in the opposite direction of the way the pile is laying. Steam will heat the fibers and allow them to become mallable.
