Hey Mike,

I'd like to ask you if you have had any experiences with color staining on the Pinnacle Black Label coating. Sorry I don't have a picture of it but, I have been working on a white 2011 Honda Fit/Jazz (in Thailand) and three weeks ago had polished and coated the car. Just two days ago, the owner's daughter took the car to use for two full days. It was outside 24/7 for only 48 hours and got bombarded by insect poop that was yellow. The hood had two spots that were stained badly. The smaller of the two stains was reduced after applying some rubbing alcohol to it but, the bigger stain etched and stained the coating.

Is there anything you can recommend to remove the color stain or do you suggest going back to polishing and recoating the area again? The stain is hideous on a white car while the rest of the car is stunning with the coating. Not sure if it could be the pollen these flying things are eating and the chemical makeup of their poop which causes the heavy staining. I'm currently in Bangkok, Thailand now so it is hot and humid, a far cry from California weather up north.

Thanks again Mike!

I just have to wonder...

What were these birds eating?

Sound to me as though you're going to have re-polish the area to remove the stain and then reseal.

I recently had the same issue and the birds that dumped all over our car were eating something reddish in color, perhaps berries.

Gross!

This is one of the reasons I chose to use a pressure spray to blast it off the paint... I didn't want to "touch" it even with a wash mitt.
