After a body shop visit for some repairs, I have holograms from their buffer all up and down my door... you can only really see it in direct sun light.

Is a Lake Country Orange pad & Menzerna Compound (FG400) enough to take this out? Too strong? Or would I need a pad with higher cut?

Try it out and see what happens. That combo should be more than enough to remove holograms unless its some freaky hard paint.

Paint is on the soft side.

Body shops stubble on refinishing panels beyond painting. Microfiber Finishing pad with m205 works every time. I do lots of body shop error work

Maybe want to try using a finishing polish rather than a compound like FG400. Sonax PF comes to mind, M205, Menz 2500 also.

FWIW all I have is PC at the moment... Orange, White and Crimson pads. Menzerna FG400, PF2500 and SF4000.

Im sure hoping I can get them out with what I have... never used MF pads.

Do you think Ill need a MF pad or could I get away with an Orange Pad?

Orange or White pad should do just fine with any compound/medium polish. Holograms are really not that hard to remove. I would rather deal with holograms than RIDS any day.

Orange pad and PF 2500 should do it.

All those great products are up to the task and don't under estimate the PC, it's just about technique and proper pad and poish combo. You should be good to go.

maybe the holograms are very deep???

but what you have should take care of it

Best practice is always start with least aggressive combo. Based on the products you have, those holograms don't stand a chance...

If I were to get some MF pads, which would you recommend for good cut beyond a LC Orange pad?

I'd try the products and pads you already have before spending any money. What you already have will more than do the job.
