This Blown 1966 Nova Pro Touring belongs to Harris, a local car guy that attends all the car shows and we've been trying to schedule his car for a show car makeover for some time now. The date has arrived so we're excited to have this beast in the show car garage!

This Nova has a custom paint job and the fit and finish both inside and outside is nothing short of exceptional.

Everything is painted and polished under the hood with a shotgun scoop to direct the air into the carbs!

The paint on the other hand needs a night at Autogeek's Garage!

Man, that looks just like one my Dad and I put custom exhaust on. My dad owned an exhaust shop for over 30 years, he is retired now, but I remember to this day what that thing sounded like. Shook the windows in the shop. Very nice car.

The Thursday night classes are free. These are modeled kind of like the TNOG's I started at Meguiar's with a little tweaking.

My Detailing Boot Camp Classes are $995.00 but are a LOT more all encompassing and I do highly recommend them as the best detailing class you can go to anywhere by anyone.

As far as Newbies go...

We were all newbies at one time including me and any other person that is considers a pro detailer. And we ENCOURAGE people new to car detailing to join us.

Just last week I had three brand new people join us that had never machine polished a car before in their life and they were able to learn how to machine polish on a VERY cool car....

1967 Mustang GTA Fastback - Pictures & Comments Threads (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/pictures-autogeek-s-car-week/76807-1967-mustang-gta-fastback-pictures-comments-thread.html)

Here's Al, Bill's buddy using the Porter Cable 7424XP for the very first time.

The week before I had two people brand new to machine polishing and they were able to learn on my buddy Jay's Corvette....

1990 Corvette - Extreme Makeover Pictures & Process (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/pictures-autogeek-s-car-week/76419-1990-corvette-extreme-makeover-pictures-process.html)

This is Al, he's a BMW owner and BMW club member and this is his first time using a machine to polish paint and look what he's doing? He's taking a rotary buffer with a wool pad and a compound to a Corvette....

And the week before I had 2 people BRAND NEW to machine polishing and they were able to learn on a 1959 Impala... how cool is that?

1959 Impala - Mothers Extreme Makeover! - Pictures & Comments! (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/pictures-autogeek-s-car-week/75884-1959-impala-mothers-extreme-makeover-pictures-comments.html)

Ray
Ray works here at Autogeek in the warehouse and has been dying to get out to the garage for one of our Thursday night projects. Turns out Ray's pretty good at machine buffing!

If you look carefully, Ray is getting ready to pick up a bead of product using the 10 @ 10 Technique. Kind of looks like the 0 at 10 Technique in this picture and if it is he's going to sling splatter all over the place but that's okay. We've all done this before and doing things the wrong way is part of how you learn to do them the right way.

Later, Ray's going to help us cut the oxidation off the 1965 Ford and by then he was picking up his bead of product like a Pro.

I'm very proud to say that this is the ONLY place to date in the world where on a regular basis, at least the last 5 years in a row, where absolute newbies can come and learn to detail cars and learn to do EVERYTHING like wetsanding, cutting and buffing and polishing out classics and street rods.

Before being able to do it here the only place people could go to do this was Meguiar's when I worked there from 2002 to 2009. That's not bragging (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/29124-ain-t-braggin-if-you-can-back-up-dizzy-dean.html), its a fact.

We walk the walk...

So heck yeah, feel free to join us sometime. I always post what's coming up to the BOTTOM of the AutogeekOnline.net forum homepage.

If you cannot attend this Nova project then adjust your calendar to be here for the 1966 Pontiac Ventura project.

The Blower on that ride looks bigger than the engine block! For sure, lots of $$$$ invested right there.

This one surely deserves to be looking right.
