Hi guys, I would like to take up PDR as a hobby to see how good I can be at it, I may offer it as a service.

I am looking at different kits out there to get started. The type you glue something on the dent and use a slide hammer, also the type that uses tools from the inside of the panel.

I am just wondering what the professionals use and what works best?

Some of the challenge must be just getting access to a dent from behind, do PDR guys remove door panels and such, or use there own sneaky ways to get the tool behind the panel.

In This Autogeek video In this AG video one of the guest showed his method for removing a dent in the 1/4 panel with some instrument using a tapping method. It's in the beginning of the video. That may be helpful and provide some insight. The gentleman gave his contact information, too.

Even though this guy did not charge this night to promote himself when he looked at the front fender on my 57 where it`s easy to get at the price...$90.00 for a thumb print indentation and 10 minutes work.

sometimes they have to drill a tiny access hole to get to the tricky spots. It's something I'd like to learn as well. My bro works at a Honda dealer and the PDR guy made 3k in 5 hours one day!
