Up for Detail today is a 2010 Ford Escape. The owner of this car admittedly hasn’t taken much care of it since he bought it new in 2010. It’s a family car driven by 4 different people each week (all of which are smokers and parallel park by “sound”). This winter has been very harsh on pretty much every car in Chicago, however, it have been more so hard on this one due to the fact that they clean the snow off of it with a push broom. When this car has been washed in the past, it has been taken to the dealer for free washes and to local “brush” style washes.

Great transformation. Maybe they'll take better care of it now? That's always my hope after transformations like these.

Great pics and writeup.

I always wonder what sparks someone who doesn't take care of their car to suddenly decide they need it professionally detailed?

I hope they take a little better care of it... hate seeing cars in bad situations :awman:

That's a good point...

Maybe they are trading it in?

That's my only guess.

Thank You!

nice job! Time?
Thanks, I worked on it from 4am until 5pm, with an hour in there because i had to get a new 6ft hose because mine burst.

I spent 3 hours on the hood because i was having a problem with products drying very quicky, but once i got that squared away it was smooth sailing

Mine too, he's already coming back with his other cars so I think he liked the work I did

He is trading this car in for an F150. He's had pickups his whole life and its really bothered him to have this little escape. He spilled gas in there not too long ago and I got that scent out. That is actually why he contacted me originally.

Looks great! Thanks for taking the time to post the pics like that, and telling us the process.

Anytime. Just hope I can keep the business steady enough to be able to post more

Great Turnaround!

Thanks

Thank You! The before/after pictures were worth it personally, but his reaction when he saw it made me feel pretty good.

He said he was questioning trading it in now.

Absolutely, you saved that car.

When you do such extreme transformations, the risk is the owner keeps neglecting the car because 'now HE KNOWS a guy' who will do wonders even with a neglected car.

Not that this MAY happen, but it CAN happens sometimes.

Consider a trade is also good. This car improved in value, no doubt about it. I don't know the price tag for it, but it'll sell for the upper price of the sheet.

Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on your work.

Kind Regards.
