A pic of my new business card that I just ordered.

So at least once a year I do what I call a "5 Star Detail" on my interior , it's how I maintain that "New Look".

I have the paint like I want it so now it's just a matter of maintaining it.

The Car

2009 RAV4

Throughout the year I do a basic interior cleaning, good wipe down, vacuume about twice a month and keep all plastics protected , but I do like removing any dressings and get down to the plastic itself, then apply another dressing.
In this case I used Atco Armorex High Gloss Protectant with UV protection, my wife likes a shiny look where I prefer more of a natural look but it's her car:)

Below is some before pictures, not too bad but not to my standards so I spent about 4-5 hours, going over every area of the front section of the interior, the back seats always remain clean being it's very seldom used so I only vacuumed and gave it a simple wipe down.

Before

About 10 months worth of not being cleaned correctly.

First thing I done was to take out my wife's "Stuff"
Used my leaf blower to get trash in tight areas, blew out under the seats than gave it a good vacuume.

I then cleaned ever square inch of the interior.

Used a leather cleaner. Zymol

After I was done cleaning all of the plastics, carpets I then applied a fresh dressing, it may appear oily but it completely dry.

I told my wife I want to buy her better mats, on the drivers side it appears there's a spot that's dirty but it's just the carpet fibers that's worn from the heel of her shoe, not much I can do about that.

The carpets were cleaned using Folex Spot Remover but I did spray all of the carpets and seats.

Next up the engine, time for a cleaning.

Thanks for looking:dblthumb2:

Nice job!

Get WeatherTech Liners. The carpet mats in my Toyota was starting to get a divot after 6-9 months. Could probably be corrected w/ steam cleaning, etc. but now with the WT Liners that is no more. Best investment I've ever made in a car IMO.

hateswirls how did you go about doing the door hinges and all of that annoying stuff? Steam? Bush and APC?

Thanks,

She gets really excited when I detail the interior. Exterior not so much. Lol.
Go figure!

I do have a steamer but didn't use it.
As you know it's hell getting in those areas so I used a really good All Purpose Cleaner then worked it with the small brush in the above pics, then blew it all out with the leaf blower, took out the Chemical Guys P-40 and sprayed well and brushed more, buffed and that's the result I came out with:dblthumb2:

I love the P-40, leaves a light wax haze, easy to buff out, really just wipe with a dry towel.
Leaves a nice shine.

The Cajun style detail makes me want some crawfish étouffée! :hungry: Or wait, is that too Creole? :D

Regardless, great job, as always, and thanks for sharing! :xyxthumbs:
