I'm looking to replace my rims on a 2005 GP GTP. The OEM rims are a bit boring IMO and pricey to replace. I'm looking at these from American Racing. AR900 with a "Satin Black Machined." I'll be able to detail before they go on the car. I'm just waiting for better http://www.autogeekonline.net/gallery/data/500/thumbs/American-Racing-AR900-satin-black-machined-wheels-rims.jpgweather before I buy. Take it away experts! and THANKS!

Coat it with Opti-Coat or any coatings you'd like would be your best bet. I opti-coated my Bee's wheels and do not regret it. Some people say it will add some gloss but I can't really tell the difference. I do know that it is coated when I wash them and the water just beads right up and roll off.

Detailer’s Wheel Coating, wheel wax, wheel sealant, brake dust repellent (http://www.autogeek.net/wheel-coating.html)

I applied this before winter, and several months later, the wheels still clean up with just soap & water. I'll be doing another coat when spring arrives.

Opticoat for long term durability. Sonax polymer net shield for good protection but limited durability.

I vote for opti coat as well. I have never tried them on wheels/rims, but i don't see why not and since they are new it should be fairly easy to apply.
