View Full Version : Recommendations for Optimum Power Clean interior dilution ratios?

I'm hoping I can field some opinions on using Optimum Power Clean for interior work. Currently, I use OPC undiluted for pad cleaning, or at 3:1 for really nasty tires.

I've been wanting to use it for the interior, but for some reason I feel as if 3:1 seems to strong. I was hoping someone would be able to chime in on the dilutions they've found work best with OPC.

Specifically, I'm wondering about leather, plastics, and the dash. I've read that you can go as low as 8:1, but I'd like to hear some opinions about those who have more experience with OPC than I do.

Thanks.

I've seen multiple posts referencing 10/1 for interior.

I, too, use 1:10 on interior cleaning. If it is really bad, and the 1:10 isn't touching it, then I have bumped up to 1:3, but only in spot instances. There were no ill effects and I wouldn't have a problem doing it again, if needed.

I've now made a bottle of 3:1 and 10:1. I was lucky enough to have just enough OPC to cover both of those.

I'll have to add some on to my next order.

3:1 is perfectly safe. You can also use it safely un-diluted.

I have used it 3/1 on leather without issue. Not the best pics, but the left side is 3/1, right side has not been cleaned......3/1 is probably overkill though.

10:1 for me, works 95% of the time perfectly. For more power I use 5:1 or increase the dwell time for the 10:1 solution
